hi All, I'm new to digital sound engineering. I don't understand the steps involved in madplay's dithering algorithm in audio_linear_dither(). Can anybody give me some clues on this? Does a 32-bit PCM in madplay when dithered to 16-bit output give better sound quality than an original 16-bit decoder?
