who can tell me how to get the time when i play a mp3 file using libmad ? which function can i use ?

Another insane pattent. Basicly this means that if you use any freqcuency coefficient to detect an error in coefficients in following blocks, you're screwed ... Of course you need to compare coefficients ... At least, I see no way to do proper error-correction in this area any other way. That they ever allowed such a pattent ... Armin

mp3 decoder patent licensing

So, Fraunhofer et al have decided to charge $0.75 per mp3 decoder. I am not positive on how this affects users of MAD, but I have a feeling that given the choice they would go after both people like me (users of MAD) and people like Rob (developers of mp3 decoders.) Rob, I sure hope the potentially forthcoming ogg decoder is similar to MAD's current interface. Maybe MAD could be Multi-format Audio Decoder?
