MAD now supports the MPEG 2 extension to Lower Sampling Frequencies (24, 22.05, and 16 kHz.)
what encoders support this? any open ones like lame or blade?
LAME 3.51, at least, supports it. I don't think blade does, and I'm not familiar with any others that do.
